What We Are Watching Now

We just bought Walt Disney's Peter Pan and the kids haven't gotten tired of this movie yet. It's only 75 minutes long, which I think is the perfect length for pre-schoolers. Next up: The Jungle Book and the Aristocats.

A Wild Weekend at Nob Hill Foods

A new grocery store, Nob Hill Foods, opened up a few blocks from our house recently. As a result, we've been spending some nights exploring the store--including some weekends when we are bored out of our minds. The prices are pretty good, though. And they give me 5 cents credit for every bag I recycle at the store.

Happy Birthday to Me

March is a very popular month for birthdays. Last weekend, it happened to be mine. As with Jenny's birthday earlier in the month, we held a low-key celebration--just Jenny, the kids and me. Later that day, we went on our quarterly movie date and dinner without the kids. Although the movie wasn't much to write about, it was still good to get away and relax for a few hours. Then, it was business as usual until the next quarter.

It's time to blow!

The candles are out. Why am I still blowing?

Happy Birthday to Jenny (Mommy)

This weekend we celebrated Jenny's birthday at home with just the 4 of us present. No fancy dinners or presents. But I did pick up a cake with all-natural ingredients. Russell especially liked the fact that it was yellow, while Punky kept reminding me that he wants to be a tiger on his birthday.

The Brewster Boys really enjoy singing "Happy Birthday". In fact, we lighted candles and sang "Happy Birthday" 4 times this weekend, with Jenny there only the first time. After the 4th time, I got tired of singing and threw the remaining cake into the garbage can.
