One Last Banquet in 2005

We ended 2005 with a dinner party at home with Frank & Diana and Mera. Taking place on Thursday 12/29, the dinner was well-timed as Punky and Russell came down with colds soon afterwards. We've been battling these colds ever since then.

Jenny went all out for dinner, with some recipes of her own and others borrowed from my mother and a family friend. The dinner was a smashing success. Jenny thought things were a bit meat-heavy, but most of us there were pro-carnivore and Atkins devotees. With a great dinner and good friends to boot, it was a nice way to wrap up the year with friends we hadn't seen too often in 2005. All-in-all, I think everyone had a good time since our guests stayed late voluntarily.

The Brewster Boys were on their best behavior, although Russell fell asleep around 7PM. This was good since handling Punky by himself is much easier than both of them simultaneously. Punky was also not afraid of Frank and Diana's dog like Russell was.
