Punky, Dinosaurs and Global Warming
Earlier this month, we went to the California Academy of Sciences to check out the dinosaur display. Both Punky and I were disappointed to see that it had been replaced by a large Global Warming exhibit. Only a single skeleton of a Tyrannosaurus Rex was left.

Indeed, lame...There's a tendency for museums to forget that their job is to inspire children, not bludgeon them to death with the latest science fad. More dinosaurs, engines and dioramas!
As a side note, the last time we went to the CAS was earlier on the day of the Loma Prieta quake, we even went on the earthquake simulator. It wasn't as realistic as the real thing.
