Mine's Bigger Than Yours, Al Gore!

About once a month, I crush and bag one thousand plastic bottles and one thousand aluminum cans for recycling. At 5 cents per container, that's $100 in deposit money for me, and enough electricity saved by recycling aluminum to power our house for about 2 months. In Al Gore's house, this would be about 2 days of electricity.

Wait a minute, you get money for plastic bottles?!

Yes, I love the deposit laws and wish they would raise it to ten cents per container. I acquired this habit in college, where I would collect 100+ bottles and cans whenever I wanted to eat lunch or dinner.

How's school, Rob?

A law like that would help me get through college, too! School is very hard. Harder than I expected, to be honest. I've had to drop a class and take it back up in the Fall. Pretty disappointing, but it's ok. No C's, D's, or F's for me!
