Scenes from Our Backyard Garden

In our miniscule amount of free time, both Jenny and I have been working on our garden. Jenny planted a new flower bed of mostly purple flowers, and I planted tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant peppers and strawberries. I'm also growing a number of sunflowers from seed, in addition to the blueberry bush we inherited from the prior owner of the house.

Of course, every weekend we’re weeding the garden to keep things neat. Now I just have to start spreading some mulch. Check out the pics below.

On Raised Bed #2, there are two strawberry plants on the right, and pepper and eggplants on the left. The wire baskets are there to deter the squirrels.
